How to Caulk Bath Tiles
Bath tiles that are not repaired can cause more problems. Water can get under the tiles and cause mold and mildew. One loose tile can eventually cause other tiles to come off and cause a large repair bill. This article will teach you how to caulk bath tiles.
How to Caulk Bath Tiles
Clean the area with a cleaner to remove mildew and mold.
Use a utility knife to remove the old caulking. Make a slice in one end of the caulk and peel away the row. Use a blow dryer to soften the caulk if it is hard to remove. Set the blow dry on high and aim it at the caulk for two to three minutes.
Clean the area with a mildew and mold cleaner. Use cotton swabs to reach tight areas. Rinse the area and dry it with a cloth.
Use a soft cloth and alcohol to clean the areas that are going to be caulked.
Allow the area to completely dry so moisture is not sealed under the new caulk and tile.
Apply the caulk from left to right under the bottom of the tile. Smooth it with your finger as you move along. Use a damp sponge to keep your fingers moist. Apply the caulk from top to bottom of the tile.
Allow the caulk to completely dry before using the tub.
