How to Find Commercial Electricians
Commercial electricians are licensed professionals that perform electrical work generally for large projects for buildings such as hospitals, office buildings, warehouses and factories. Finding the right commercial electrician for your project is important to its success.
- Go online to the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) website.
- Click on the link at the top of the page titled "Find an Electrical Contractor."
- Select the type of work that you need done. There are four basic types listed: inside work, outside work, systems work and energy solutions.
- Go the drop down box besides "Where is this project located?" and select your state. Click Continue.
- Choose either the city or county where you'll need the commercial electrician from the drop down boxes.
- Select the type of work that is the majority of work that needs to be done. Beneath the majority of work enter the cost of your project in the box besides "Approximate Project Size" and then select whether it is the amount of the total project or the amount that is the electrical portion.
- Click "Search the Database."
- Pick a contractor from the list of NECA members based on their proximity to your project. Their contact phone number, email address and website, if applicable, will be located to the right of the company name and location.
