How to Remove Car Wax
You had your vehicle cleaned. Maybe you cleaned it yourself. Either way, there is too much car wax on the vehicle. Wax cannot be removed simply with water and a towel. Removing wax requires a little more time and effort. Here is how you can remove car wax.
Try using dishwashing liquid to remove the wax. A heavy-duty liquid, like Dawn, mixed with water will remove the wax. You will need to scrub the wax off with a towel soaked in the dishwashing liquid mixture.
If your dishwashing liquid does not seem to be getting all of the wax off your vehicle, add rubbing alcohol to the mixture. The alcohol will help remove the wax.
You may want to try a commercial product designed specifically to remove wax. These products can be purchased at any auto supply center. Use caution and read the label carefully. Overuse of these products can remove not only the wax, but also the paint on your vehicle.
