It is important to repair auto glass scratches because it is unsafe. Scratched glass can cause a person’s visibility to become impaired. When handling scratched auto glass you have to be extremely careful. The best method to remove auto glass scratches is as follows.
Items needed to remove auto glass scratches:
2 Tablespoons of Soapy Water
2 Tablespoons Glycerin
2 Tablespoons Jeweler's Rouge
The first step is to make sure your auto glass is clean. You want to clean your windows using water and make sure they are completely free of any dirt particles. Allow your auto glass to dry before beginning the process to remove the scratches.
Mix your ingredients into a small plastic container, or bowl. You want to stir the compound solution with force. Once you complete mixing the compound, add it to the scratched area. Be careful not to push to hard on the window, this could cause it to shatter.
After the solution is applied to the area, you will then allow it to dry for approximately 25 seconds. Once it has dried use soap and water to cleanse the area. Depending upon the depth of the scratch the process may be repeated if needed. Scratches on auto glass are known to come back, this process can be repeated when needed.
