Computers have become indispensable in our lives. A computer with problems can really be a major problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Tools are necessary to diagnose the problem with your computer. You will need tools to get to the broken computer part and to fix the problem.

• Compresses air is used to blow out the dust and debris easily from you computer.  Use the compresses air to unclog the fan and the air vents.


• Magnifying glass to read the fine print on the circuit board clearly.  It is easier to see the small screws and other object when magnifying them.


• Flashlight that can be clipped to a surface that will leave your hands free.


• Long tweezers are helpful when trying to pick up dropped small screws. The tweezers can hold tiny objects that are short and hard to hold.


• Needle nose pliers can reach into small places and are strong enough to clasp onto an object.


• A variety of sizes non-magnetic screwdrivers that will allow you to screw and unscrew the tiny screws that holds the internal components down and together.


• Shock protector wristbands, gloves or a grounding mat that will keep you from receiving a shock.


• Power supply tester that reads the amount of voltage that is coming through the system to determine whether the problem is in the motherboard or in the CPU.

Before working on your computer, make sure that you unplug the computer to prevent injury from electricity.  Save all of your important files on an external source.
