How to Get Mail-In Rebates
Mail-in rebates are given by the manufacturer as an incentive to purchase a product. Rebates are a great way to save some money, especially on high dollar items. Once you purchase your product you will need to send the mail-in rebate form, plus other items required prior to the expiration date.
How to Get Mail-In Rebates
- Look for mail-in rebates when deciding to purchase a product. Rebates are only offered for a limited time and you need to purchase the item while it is valid.
- Ask the store clerk where the rebate forms are located. Some rebate forms are printed out with the receipt while others are in specific store locations. Be sure that you collect the correct rebate form for the item purchased.
- Downloadable rebate forms are available for online purchases. Always download the rebate form at the time of purchase because if they expire they will no longer be available for download.
- Complete the rebate form. Fill in all the information required accurately and send in any more necessary information, such as the original receipt and UPC bar code.
- Make a copy of the rebate form and items required to be mailed to the manufacturer.
- Mail the items along with the rebate form before the expiration date. The rebate will be denied if it is not mailed on time.
- Wait for the number of weeks needed to process the mail in rebate. It can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks to receive the check in the mail. It's well worth the wait.
