Healthy Animal Theme Snacks for Kids Parties

Making healthy animal theme snacks for kids parties can often be a humorous treat.  Kids like to see animals made out of various types of food, and better yet, they like to eat them.  With a little creativity and imagination, you can come up with some pretty cool healthy animal snacks for kids.

Spiders: This treat is fun at Halloween parties.  The snack requires two Ritz crackers, peanut butter, two raisins and pretzel sticks.  Spread one of the crackers with peanut butter.  Place the same number of pretzel sticks on top of the peanut butter cracker.  Three on one side and three on the other side usually works best.  Add peanut butter to the second cracker and place it on top of the first cracker.  Using a little peanut butter, place the raisin eyes near the top of the second cracker.

Ants on a Log:  This is a traditional healthy snack given to kids and is popular at school parties.  It consists of celery, peanut butter and raisins.  Simply wash celery and cut the stalks in half.  Spread peanut butter on the celery and then place raisins on top of the peanut butter.  The result looks like ants on a log.

Hardboiled egg mice:  This snack requires a peeled hardboiled egg, a black olive for the eyes, a radish for the ears, two chives for the tails and a tiny wedge of Swiss cheese.  Slice the egg in half lengthwise.  Place the eggs yolk side down on a plate.  Cut four small slices each from the black olive and the radish.  Make slits in the narrow end of the egg, approximately where the eyes and ears will go.  Slide the olives and radishes into the slits.  Add the chive tails to the opposite end of the egg and serve the eggs with the wedge of cheese.
