How to Make a Tecumseh Engine Go Faster

A Tecumseh engine is a small engine that runs on the regular gasoline that you can find at all gas pumps. These engines use fuel like any other internal combustion engine that uses gasoline. It is extremely easy to make a Tecumseh engine go faster.

There are a lot of machines that are powered up by a Tecumseh engine. These machines include lawn mowers, go carts, generators, tillers and mini bikes. You should read the owner's guide and have some knowledge about working on engines before you do anything to this engine. You should know all of the health risks involved before you start working on your engine.

Materials needed:

  • Octane booster

  1. Purchase a can of octane booster. You can find a can of octane booster in the automotive section of hardware stores and department stores or at any automotive store.

  2. Put in the proper amount of octane booster into the gas tank of your engine. You should read the directions that are located on the manufacturer's manual. This is going to tell you how much octane booster you should use for every gallon of gasoline, because all of the octane boosters are different.

  3. Start up the engine. Give the Tecumseh engine a little bit of time so that it can warm up. The octane booster is going to make the gasoline tank ignite faster and burn warmer, every time you start to run the engine. This is going to make the engine run faster.
