  • One or two friends to help you

Procedure to build one wood warehouse shelf.

  1. Place two pine studs on the floor parallel, 84 inches apart.

  2. Place a 96-inch pine board so that it is perpendicular to the pine studs. Make sure the distance from the stud to the edges of the board is equal.

  3. Screw stud to the pine board. You may need six screws.

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the opposite end of the studs.

  5. Place two more boards on top of the studs. Place so the boards are 15 inches from the 48-inch center of the studs. Screw into place.

  6. Repeat step 5 for one side of your shelf system.

  7. Repeat steps 1-5 with the last two studs to complete the other side of your shelf system.

  8. Stand the racking system up on the four studs.

  9. Allow 30 inches for the outside spacing of the rack.

  10. Place the 84-inch plywood on the top of each of the boards so that they are flush to the sides. Screw into place.

  11. Place the last 30-inch sheet of plywood on the top of the rack.

  12. Screw into place to complete your wooden warehouse shelf rack.
