Guide on Stackable Washing Machine Repair

People who lack sufficient space for a conventional washing machine may opt to choose instead a stackable washer and dryer. These machines just like the regular sized machines will need repair at one time or another. Repairing these machines may seem complicated, but if you have a repair guide it is far less complicated.

  1. Check if your suspension dampers need replacing. Do this if your washing machine starts shaking too much and replace the suspension dampers immediately.

  2. Examine your washing machine and make sure that it does not have too much clothes inside, if the machine shows a "LE" error code. Placing too much clothing in the washing machine will put a strain on the motor, and this causes the motor to lock up. If this is the problem, take some of the clothes out of the machine, and this should fix the problem.

  3. Stop the machine and let it cool down for approximately 30 minutes. This sometimes solves the "LE" error code when the machine has too much suds. After the time minutes, turn the machine to the rinse cycle and let it spin, then restart the washing process.

  4. Wash your clothing with less soap if you notice a foul odor. Over time laundry detergent and fabric softener will build up and cause an unpleasant odor. Turn the machine to the hot cycle and add bleach and run the machine for a few cycles. Check to see if there are any bubbles remaining, if you do not see any the soap build up has gone.

  5. Locate the pressure switch and examine the pressure switch along with the small hose that connects to the pressure switch to see if they need replacing. If any of these items cease to function properly, the machine will turn off automatically after it fills up.

  6. Check the hose on the washing machine to make sure that small animals have not made holes on the hose.
