About Training and Education Specialists
Educational specialists are people who have student at a level between the master’s degree level and the doctoral level. They have pursued their studies in education beyond that of the master’s, but are not necessarily pursuing a doctorate. The degree is abbreviated as Ed.S. The Ed.S degree is recognized only in the United States. Training specialists train employees to better do their work according to the requirements of their employer.
What Does an Educational Specialist Do?
There has been an attempt to reform the education system in the United States. Education is an important aspect of life, and to ensure that students are adequately educated there is a support system has been provided to help schools to more effectively deliver education.
Education specialists are among those consulted to help schools with developing useful and effective curricula, and mentoring teachers on how to best help their students. The ED.S degree is also provided to undergraduate teachers who are teaching preparatory to those pursuing a PhD in education.
What Does a Training Specialist Do?
A training specialist helps to train workers in one specific area that relates to their job. Training specialists typically work in human resource departments and may be assigned work such as training employees in how to use a certain software program, or to use a new piece of technology. They may also be involved in the orientation of new employees and in providing on the job training. In some large companies they may be used to train newly-promoted employees for the demands of their new position.
A training specialist may specialize in training on a specific subject, like an information technology training specialist. A bachelor’s degree in human resources is a common requirement to get hired as part of a typical human resources department.
How Are Education Specialists and Training Specialists Similar?
In both cases the job descriptions involve training provided to professionals. Education specialists help teachers and school administrators improve at their job. The human resources training specialist does not have as specific a job description as they may be responsible for training different workers throughout a company.
