Marketing Ideas for Apartment Managers
Finding suitable and responsible tenants is a large responsibility of apartment managers. Marketing ideas include placing large signs on the apartment building, placing ads in newspapers and creating informative websites. Letting current residents know that vacancies exist can also lead to recruitment of new tenants.
- Place signs on the outside of the apartment building. Market the available apartments by listing their descriptions. The number of bedrooms and bathroom is a commonly listed detail. The rental cost should also be listed to filter out inquiries from people who cannot afford the apartment. The apartment manager's phone number, or the apartment number if the manager lives in the building, should also be indicated on the sign.
- Write an appealing ad for placement in newspapers. The ad should explain why the apartment is a desirable living space. All amenities should be listed along with information about rental price and required deposit. Being strategic about ad placement is important. For example, if the apartment is located near a university campus, advertising in the school's newspaper might yield best results.
- Create a website for the apartment. People can find it in an Internet search if it contains the right search words. Additionally, a website can list detailed information about the apartment building, including floor plans and pictures of the building and grounds.
- Inform current residents about available apartment rentals. They might have relatives, friends, classmates or colleagues who are looking for a place to live. Provide brochures for current tenants to circulate, complete with detailed information and pictures.
