I don't know if you would call it re gifting but I have given man gifts that I won't you to gifts for families drives and such as that. I really hate seeing people not getting anything at the holidays. I have also given them things that I have made during the year but that have not sold in my store.

I've not only regifted, I've gone to PARTIES where it is a regifitng event!

Sometimes I have a gift I never even opened and I'll tell the person who I want to give it to, it's a regift, would they like it. I have NEVER had someone say no.

When attending parties where I know I didn't likely receive the gift from anyone there, I will repackage and regfit without permission.

Finally those parties: since their very purpose is to allow regifiting, everyone enjoys getting something new!

My daughter got some used Games for her little Game Player from a little boy at her b-day party a few years ago and was thrilled to get them since she only had one game before that. These days it just makes sense to regift especially if it is a great gift that means something to the recieving party!

Of course, everyone has done the re-gift at some point in their life. It may not be on purpose either, mabye you show up to a christmas party and forget about someone. You just happen to have a simple soap basket in your car already rapped up. Just throw it in a gift back and your set. This year though, I literally just drove around with the Ferrera Rochers (spelling) chocolates in my trunk. I gave out about 10 boxes of them and people were appreciated.

Absolutely, especially if it a family heirloom or treasured item from one loved one to another. Grandparent to grandchild, parent to child, close friend to close friend.

If you know someone doesn't approve of re-gifting, don't do it with any gifts to them.

Just remember, one man's "trash" is another man's "treasure".

I guess you'd call it re-gifting of a sort. I often take parts of a gift and combine it with parts of other gifts and perhaps a new item, package attractively and Viola, a new gift!

Yes. I have been guilty of re-gifting in the past. But now I make it known that I would prefer gift cards and I give those out as gifts also (to prevent others from re-gifting my gifts to them).
I also pre-shop with them and have them indirectly point out items that they may like or need just in case I do want to wrap a gift for them.

Only once. My best friend gave me a very nice fur coat. I hate coats. My mother needed a coat, so I gave it to her. I fear every winter that my friend will ask about the coat.
I believe that if the item is a better blessing for someone else, then I should pass it on rather than let it sit around and serve no purpose. Regifting is a good thing.

I've regifted skincare and beauty packs (which just "may" have been regifted to me) when I was broke. Older people are actually more likely to regift than younger people. Then again, they're also more likely to give gifts at all.

I have regifted a few times. I will take something that my family members (who I don't see very often) gave me that I won't wear or use and regift it for white elephant parties or give it to a friend who I think the gift would work for. It saves money and time, and it helps to get that unused gift to someone who will actually use or appreciate it (hopefully). Cheers!
