   As old school as it may be.... we started out by word of mouth and printing our own flyers. If you have a printer (even black and white will work), just create your own flyers on paper and spend a weekend going around the neighborhood passing them out. Its not as effective as more cost worthy options, but it is cheaper and works if the ad is effective.

   MerchantCircle provides a great venue to promote your business for FREE nationally. Is also a great source for your own business needs. Also try press releases to your local newspaper - another free option.
