Look into ISES International Special Events Society membership and the chapter serving your state. Members typically abide by on-going training for special events and add the composure to make wedding photography non-intrusive. Look for a professional who will provide a photo journalism flair, even offering a DVD slideshow on top of your printed selection of portraits.

The best place to find them is by calling your local Party supplier. They know them all and can tell you who is good. Plus they are like your Yellow book for your wedding event. I already have a caterer that I use and she is my best resource. But Party Time here in Kalispell Montana is my other. Give it a shot, you won't regret it as they are pros at this. Hope it helps.

Check out your friends and relatives; I just happen to have a cousin who is a great wedding photographer and every thing else his camera points at. But afraid he lives in Illinois. By the way, yes, he did my wedding and the pictures were fabulous.

Ask a friend who has used a photographer in their wedding. Referrals are the best way to connect with a legit photographer. You can also check out Yelp.com, which is a popular non-wedding, less-biased forum for reviewing vendors like photographers. Best of luck!

Start by asking friends and family. Go see many photographers work. Make sure you like the photographer and the work. A wedding day is a long one and the person that will be capturing the most important day of your life needs to be someone you are comfortably with. They need back up gear that is equal to the gear they begin the day with. Best Wishes Penny Porter

At El-Jay Enterprises, we have been videoing before, during and after ceremony for 0ver 15 years. We like to get the list of scenes you want beforehand to cut down on the cost (to you) of editing the final DVD. All cameras are digital recording and multiple cameras are available. We are very reasonable. call us at (918) 836 8273 in Tulsa. Prefer not to do out of area weddings. Sorry but we do not specialize in still pictures., but if you prefer to shoot it yourself we can make you a nice DVD and copies economically.
