With gas prices reaching $4.00 a gallon many people are looking for cars that achieve high gas mileage. Many car companies offer cars that are fuel-efficient. Once such company is the Ford Motor Company which offers three cars that average 40 miles per gallon.

2012 Ford Focus

The Ford Focus has been redesigned for 2012. Some of the new features for this year include: electronic power assist steering, 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission and a sport tuned suspension. The Focus is available in a sedan and five door models. Prices for the Focus start at $17,000 to $23,000. The Focus gets 40 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg in the city.

2012 Fusion Hybrid

The Fusion Hybrid combines electricity and gas. Some of the features include flex fuel capability, which allows the driver to use unleaded gas, E85 gas or a mix of the two gases combined. The Fusion also features a capless fuel filter that allows you to insert the fuel nozzle without having to worry about a gas cap. The prices for the Fusion start at $19,000 to $30,00. The Fusion gets 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

2012 Fiesta 

The Fiesta features the super fuel economy package. The package includes cruise control, side air deflectors and underbody shields that help reduce air resistance to use less gas. The Fiesta is available in sedan and hatchback models. The price of the Fiesta starts at $13,000 to $19,000. The Fiesta gets 41 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg in the city.
