How to Whitewash Kitchen Cabinets
Use a screwdriver to remove the cabinet doors and drawers.
Remove all of the hardware from the cabinets.
Use TSP cleaner and water to scrub cabinet facings and drawers. This will remove any built-up grease. Allow the cabinets time to dry.
Use white stain to paint the cabinets, cabinet facings and drawers. Allow the stain time to dry.
Use sandpaper to rough up the surface of the cabinets.
Used the desired color of whitewash, and paint the cabinet doors, facings and the fronts of drawers. Allow time to dry thoroughly.
Use a rag soaked in denatured alcohol, and gently rub it over the cabinets, drawers and doors.
Allow the cabinets to dry thoroughly.
