First off, look for a Certified Professional Photographer. Those who have earned the Professional Photographic Certification have passed a comprehensive written exam measuring their technical expertise, and have successfully submitted their work to a panel of judges for review and approval. Choosing a photographer who is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and its affiliates is also a good beginning. Photographers who have invested in themselves by becoming members of these groups regularly participate in ongoing educational and networking experiences.
Finally, check the portfolio of the photographer you're interviewing. If you don't fall in love with his/her work, keep looking.

Finding a great photographer can be difficult, only because it will rely on your taste to decide on the greatness. You can find several of all styles here on merchant circle, or the PPA site, or studio locator.com. or a site called the knot. If you are looking to save money, you might try craigslist, but be cautious. Look at an entire wedding and meet in a public place.

I think the best place to find a great photographer is at your local, high-end, wedding and reception rental halls. These people usually have experience with good photographers. Once you have those great wedding photos, send them to Crystal Images USA for 3d file conversion and laser etching in optic crystal.
